Road Test | Chihuahua Harness | Max Bone Sport Harness
A review on the the Max Bone Sport dog harness by Eddie the Chihuahua.
I’ve had my Max Bone Sport Dog Harness for about 6 weeks now, so I thought it would be time to share a little review, as I know how hard it is to find a dog harness for chihuahuas and small dog breeds that actually fits well!
We have quite a collection of soft style dog harnesses all bought in the hope of finding the perfect one, but none of them have fit well until now, the strap around the belly has always been much too long, or the neck area too big. Chihuahua problems, am I right?
I’m happy to say we’ve finally found the perfect Chihuahua harness!
We were so happy when we checked all the measurements online for the Max Bone Sport harness - we didn’t even measure for their smallest XS size - our size was the Small - this gave us comfort knowing that if this one was too big, we could always exchange it for the next size down. We need not have worried though, this one arrived and it’s a perfect fit, not on the smallest setting, but still plenty of room to adjust out if I grow a little more.
The harness itself is comfortable and light and gives the option of attaching your dog leash to either the back or chest plate connector. (This is handy for tethering if you are out and about, or have a dog carrier it gives you flexibility for positioning inside the bag). I can be a bit of a puller on walks, and this this harness doesn’t put any pressure on my neck at all, which is super important for small breeds.
Styling wise, it’s a winner - as with all of my Max Bone items, it’s a classic, stylish piece with quality hardware. The olive colour is an amazing neutral and sets off my fur colour perfectly. The Max Bone Sport harness is also available in black, definitely on my wish list.
The matching Max Bone sport leash is light weight, with a soft handle grip, and is perfect for outdoors and all weather, and looks just as stylish at the park, beach, bush or in the city for a shopping trip.
The Verdict?
10/10 We can’t recommend this harness enough. It’s our go to dog harness on every walk. If you have a chihuahua or small dog we definitely recommend you check it out. (for those looking for a big dog harness, it also goes up to Extra Extra large size - max-bone really do cater for all dogs big and small)!
